DWalt needs to get into the lawnmower business! THey have Craftsman, and have had no problems. My neighbors brother has Toro and highly recommends that brand. Seems like there are a lot of choices.

Question for the brain trust, about cordless lawnmowers

I need to ask my neighbors what brand they have. I know the one set of batteries works with the mower, weed trimmer and blower. They are very happy with it.

Question for the brain trust, about cordless lawnmowers

Watching! My next mower and weed eater will definitely be electric. Though my weed eater is about 15 years old and shows no sign of dying. Mowers these days seem to last about 5 years before they rust out.

More Canada Restrictions Against US Hunters

My approach to trout fishing in Wayne and Lackawanna Counties PA was to put up with opening day crowds and then fish parts of the streams no one else bothered with. Never had much competition after about May 1st.

More Canada Restrictions Against US Hunters

I seem to remember Yukon Mike talking about this, it seems like, at least in certain areas, non-citizens did need guides for big game. But that could be only for limited draw species. Wonder what Mike is up to these days??

    Balsa block

Common names can be misleading. True balsa is a tropical tree. True cottonwood is a western species. Some people call tulip poplar cottonwood. And it’s not a true poplar!

    Motor Mount Questions

If you are sucking in air, I think the issue would be the motor is too high, versus wrong angle or too close to the transom. Is the cavitation plate at least an inch or two below the bottom of the hull? Hopefully others will jump in!

The 1961 Evinrude Duck-Twin 3hp "Splash of Vintage"

My grandfather worked in the mines in the far northeast end of of the Anthracite Belt, in Vandling PA. He died of black lung at 54. He made sure none of his sons, my dad or uncles, ever stepped foot in a coal mine.

More Canada Restrictions Against US Hunters

As with most outdoors "destinations", sooner or later, too many people and too many inconsiderate people, wreck the whole experience. I am not informed enough to have an opinion on the white geese conservation order and its impacts on hunting in Canada or if it has really had an impact on white...

The 1961 Evinrude Duck-Twin 3hp "Splash of Vintage"

Very Cool! I believe the town he was from is probably Nanticoke, PA. Its a coal mine town on the Susquehanna River, which makes sense.
