    panel saw in shop

Tod, I used a friend's Milwaukee track saw on a sheet goods intensive project a few months ago. Wow! Game changer. I'm a new fan to say the least. It's on my Christmas wish list. And as others here mentioned, I still used the 2" foam sheet atop the horses, and under the ply materials. having...

    Speaking of decoy weight molds...

Hi! I use a version of an H weight. I made three dozen for a friend last summer. I did not think to take pic while I was molding them, sorry. Anyway I mold 2 different sizes. An 8 oz and a 12.5 Oz. The molds were milled from 2" thick blocks of aluminum.

Good to be back - The Broadbill's 22nd season

Thanks Carl! My son is in school at USF in STP. He's always sending me pictures of ducks but he's not found anyone who hunts down there.

Good to be back - The Broadbill's 22nd season

Hi Richard, I added bungee cord to my Kayak. Not a fan, after I've struggled with it for a number of seasons. It (mine) rots eventially and cannot provide enough tension for my liking. Yes, I do use the rails on my broadbill. It holds my netting, as well as my homegrown oramental grass.

Good to be back - The Broadbill's 22nd season

thank you Ed! I'll have to do some digging on what the name of that netting is. It is cord, dipped in plastic. It's virtually indistructible and light!

Good to be back - The Broadbill's 22nd season

Stashing in every available corner, at one time she'll carry 18 teal, 18 mallards (standard size) and 6 goose floaters. Used as a layout, (no blind) I use 3 collapsable leaf bags to hold a total of 45 foam block divers on 3 long lines, the bags tethered on the foredeck while underway, with a...

Good to be back - The Broadbill's 22nd season

Devlin's Broadbill plan, modified slightly with courage obtained from following Eric's original posts of his Scaup 16, some years ago. (dare I say many?) She was built/launched in 2002/2003. Her 22nd season... always kept covered, has had a couple of minor tweaks and cosmetic repairs the past...

    anchor weight mold

Similarly, I have made lots of little 3 and 4oz "mushroom" weights using a few inches of 12 or 14 ga. bare copper wire resting in the bottom of an aluminum soda(beer) can. It's the underside of the can, just turn it over and look at the bottom, it is slightly concaved with a low rim - a...
