For all you machinist and woodworkers

As a funeral director, I often see things like this hidden from the public. Though this is quite unfortunate for the deceased and the family, a picture like this can really make people stop and think about what their doing. Robie Gardner

So, you think you're pretty good with a slingshot?

It looks like the boy's got way too much time on his hands. At least he's not playing video games all day. Impressive!

    ticks and dogs (need advice)

Just as Rich suggest, TRIFEXIS seems to be the best for my dog. My dog rarely gets any ticks and if she does, I only find dead ones. I think you can only get it at the vets office. Its not expensive either. Robie

    Juniper lumber

Do I seal the ends or the entire block? Will the wood dry out inside a closed shed? I really appreciate your input. Thanks. Robie

    Juniper lumber

Well I'll just have to talk to him again or just cut out the heart myself. If I cut out the size blocks that I need before the wood fully dries, is it less prone to spliting? Robie

    Juniper lumber

I recently found a gentleman in Kinston, NC who is selling juniper at $1.60 a board foot cut to any dimensions you want. The maximum width at that price is 8". He already has the logs and will cut them at whatever size you request. My question is what would you want cut it you were carving...

    Looking for a New Dog

David, One breed worth looking at is the Wirehair Pointing Griffon. Mine is about four months old and I love her disposition. She will probably be around 45 - 50 lbs. and they are used for upland game just as much as waterfowl. They are known as a versatile breed and might not be the best...

    Cabelas Outfitter Camo

Brian thanks for that reply. The columbia wader coat was one I had been looking at because they are available in talls. Its also an expensive coat and would be terribly disappointed if I bought a coat for $400 and it was junk. Thanks

    Cabelas Outfitter Camo

Kristan, I have to totally agree with you. I have many filson items and I cherish them all. The problem is that I'm 6'5" and they don't make any coats for hunting in tall anymore. I have to special order the coat and filson was going to charge me 40% over retail price. The waterfowl coat in...

    Cabelas Outfitter Camo

Thanks for the responses. What you all have said made perfect sense. I tend to over analize things to much. I think I just buy it and give it a whirl. Thanks. Robie

    Cabelas Outfitter Camo

I'm thinking about getting some new clothing before season begins and I was wandering if anyone had any experience with Cabelas Outfitter camo used for duck hunting in a marsh grass setting? I plan on purchasing the new Millenium Wader Pants and they only come in the outfitter camo. I'm just...

    Fast Grass Mat Postion

It looks like you took a pic of my boat. I attach my fast grass that way because it seems to last longer. It doesn't seem to break down as fast. While under way, ice will form on the ends and want to pull it down. You gotta try different things and find out what works for you. Robie

what kind of regulations make you crazy when duckin

In Virginia, legal shooting hours starts 30 minutes be for sunrise and ends at sundown. I wish legal time would end 30 minutes after sundown. I don't know if thats just pertains to Virginia or not but I've had such little success in the afternoon because all the ducks I see flying are between...

    Waders

Not to steal your tread or anything, but I'm in the market for a new pair of waders myself. I'm looking at the cheaper boot sock waders that cabelas sells for about 50 dollars for early season. You have to purchase the wader boots, but with inexpensive waders they can be replaced without...
