Thanks for the beautiful photos. Last Saturday our son just sent us a photo of him & his fellow Scouters atop Mt Baldy. They left Philmont early this morning so they should've missed most of the rain.

Although I have no experience using their spokeshaves, I have purchased and/or used some of their other woodworking tools and Veritas makes some very nice tools. They are not the cheapest but are very good quality. Here is a link to some of their spokeshaves...
