    Victor Veri-Lite Decoy value

Any idea of a value of Victor Veri-Lite decoys? I found some for sale locally. There's a dozen (I think) and they appear to be new in the box. Thanks!

    What's the toughest knee boot?

I've been back and forth between Muck boots and UnderArmor over the past 10 years, and all of them seem to fall apart after 2-4 years. On the Under Armor ones the soles fall off, and the Muck boots fail on the seam between the neoprene and the rubber section at the ankle. What have you guys...

Restoring old ski boat - NDR

I have a '88 Beretta open bow ski boat that my son and I are replacing the wood in and getting re-upholstered. What lumber should I use for the stringers/cross members? Do I free-float that onto the hull, or epoxy them in somehow? What plywood is best then for the floor? Thanks!

Neoprene Waders - How do Rogers compare

My Cabelas neoprene waders finally gave out after maybe 10 years of hard use. I'm happy with that and was thinking of just replacing them with the Cabelas Ultlmate waders. I really hate the velcro though as the ones I had before this pair had that and always came loose. Someone suggested the...

Gun Lube Rust Preventative Product Testers Wanted

I had gotten approval at the end of last hunting season from Eric and the moderators for this, but then decided to wait until before this season to post it. Our company developed a REALLY good lanolin based lube and rust preventative over the past few years for mainly automotive and ag...

    ND Outfitter advice needed

I've freelance hunted ND at least 10 times over the past 20 years, so I understand how great that can be and that you don't really need a guide. I have a vendor from work that always does a guided customer hunt somewhere every year and wants to go to ND this year. Any suggestions on what...

    Video Camera Suggestions

I need to upgrade my video camera for work to something that's capable of easily uploading videos to the net, instead of the old discs like my other camera has. While I'm at it I figured I'd look at something that's capable of videoing hunts and accepting hat cams, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks,

Would this make a decent duck kayak?

This was on our local Craigslist. It's a Phoenix Seewun kayak. The owner says it's a "slalom kayak". Phoenix isn't really helpful and just said that they don't make them anymore. It's 13' long and 26" wide. Would it be too tippy for a duck kayak. I've paddled a few Poke Boats which I...

    Suggestion for Eider Mount

I have a nice Eider at the taxidermist, but am undecided what mount to get. Any suggestions? I was planning on getting one on a rock with a clamshell that I brought back in his mouth, but I just got a canvasback back that I also got sitting, and am a little disappointed in that pose...

    Youth waders

I'm looking for waders for my 12 year old. Any recommendations? I just wonder if the youth model from macks will be big enough for him. I see in their reviews that guys get them for their 5 and 6 year olds. It seems like he may be in between a youth and adult. I'd like to get them a...

    Shoplifting Dog

My 13 year old lab has taken to running off all of a sudden. We live on the edge of a 300 acre farm, so I've been pretty lazy about watching him when I let him out to pee. Guess that has to change. I let him out for 3-4 minutes today before work then went to put him and my other labs in...

    Boat Bed Plans/Pictures

Does anyone have the old post Eric did on the boat bed he did? I searched for it and didn't find anything. I'm interested in doing something similar. Thanks, Kirk

    Canoes: Which to buy?

I'm looking at upgrading my canoe from my old Coleman to something a little lighter and more stable. Any suggestions? It would mainly be used for hunting small swamps and places where it's too far to drag our sneakboxes, but I'd also like something I wouldn't be afraid to take the kids...

Late Feb Missouri Snow Goose Hunt??

I'm traveling to Missouri in late Feb. for work, and wondered if I could work in a snow goose hunt then. Are the birds moving through then? If so, any suggestions for guides? I already talked to Habitat Flats, and they don't have any openings then. Thanks,

    Southern Ontario

Has anyone hunted Southern Ontario? Our ND trip fell through this fall, so we're looking for something a little closer to home. What are the opportunities to freelance? We'd be using our sneakboxes, so marshland/bays would be best. Thanks,

Converting Longitude and Latitude - GPS to find Survey corners - NDR

In the past I've used my GPS to find property corner pins, but went to find the corner in my yard and am having trouble this time. My deed plat is showing the Longitude/Latitude as South - X degrees, and East - X degrees, while my GPS is showing it as North - X degrees, and West - X...

    Reloading cost - 12 and 28 ga.

Reloaders, I have a couple of questions: 1. I used to reload a ton of shotgun shells, but then since the Wal-mart 100 packs started getting so cheap I couldn't justify the time anymore (plus got a little busy and lazy). Now with the price of ammo skyrocketing, I'm wondering if I should look...

The Robber's Barnegat Bay "Old School" Hunt

The Robber journeyed with Dave Enos, Bill Enos and myself to the fabled waters of Barnegat Bay, NJ to meet up with Bill Perry and Marty Vandergrift from Maine and John M Taylor from Shooting Sportsman magazine for a "traditional hunt". Guns were muzzleloaders, hammer guns, Foxes, and classic...
