I refurbed some this past year. I pulled and cut away any loose burlap. Then I just cut patches of burlap to cover the bare spots and smoothed the mastic out with water. If there was any seam or roughness I gave it another quick rough sand. They are not decorative birds but they look good...

I have a few 20's including a couple M2's. I love the M2's. Great gun to start with and a great gun to keep forever. 7/8 ox or 1 oz of 2s at 1500 fps is pretty good medicine for whatever flies. Can always use a bit lighter loads if recoil is an issue, but it is a pretty soft shooting gun...
