The west food plot is saturated and the little seasonal ponds are running over. I see the food plot crop is already starting to show. As soon as it starts to warm up into the 60' I'll the the chufa planted around the big pond for the turkeys and deer to munch on......come on Spring!

Nice Spring like weather today, what a difference.

Don't believe I would want to leave a place like that, however there is something to be said about adventure.

Dave, I hate you.
Redding just about up to 100K and seems to want to be San Jose north! I'll never make it another 10 years.

bvullo,

I don't know about paradise, but we are on 125 acres, the neighbor across teh road from us is on 90 acres, the neighbor on our left is on 40 acres, the one on our right is 80 acres and our back property line is 885 yards long and it butts up to 6,000 acres of BLM land. Which makes our "back yard" a lot bigger than our 485 yard long front yard.

Now that I think about it, between the deer, bear, elk, ducks, geese and turkeys, this just might be a little paradise :^)

First off, I answered your email this afternoon and there is no need to worry about living in Redding, I spent a week there one DAY! Infact I love Redding.....in April AND October! Winters are not bad, but the summers suck! It's the only place that I have ever been that I saw it 102 degrees on the 4th of July.......and that was at MIDNIGHT!

10 more years? In another ten years Redding will be like San Francisco, not San Joesi. Not to worry, we are putting this place on the market in two weeks. You and Mona can just buy it and move in. Hey, it's got "turn key" deer, duck , turkey and bear hunting.

Judy and I are heading to Montana as soon as it sells. She's still has 4 years before she can take early retirement, but we don't care. We'll buy a place around Miles City and snowbird to Arizona, New Mexico & Loreto, Baja during the Montana winters.

Heck, with all this talk about global warming we;ll soon be able to spend our winters in Montana wearing short sleeve shirts, with plenty of sun screen on us. We may even have to go all teh way to the Arctic Circle to duck hunt since they won't have any reason to migrate south then. Kinda like our resident honkers and mallards do now. BTW I had some beautiful Ringnecks on the big pond this afternoon. They were swimming around with 9 greenheads who were all trying to get the attention of the 2 hen mallards.

Hope you find a good combo gun for your little huntin' buddy.

Say hi to Mona for me.

Best,
Dave
