3 man aluminum duck boat

havnt had much time to work on it since the spring, but i finally got back in the shop 2 weeks ago and got some things done. after a few nights of water testing after work, i got the motor height adjusted just rite. with a 25hp she jumps up on plane and scoots along pretty good. i will have some photos of it in action this weekend.

It looks like the transition from the hull to the pod is a step up. Why is that?
Just curious.

I think other wise if the step wasn't there it would act like a displacement hull this way it will plane just a guess

cool design, I like the bracket/hunt deck, will you have dry storage in that area? I wonder how much performance increase you would see out of adding a pad, like you see on bass boats rather than having all that deadrise and vee at the rear of the hull.

it will be done in 2 weeks and i will be at the tuckerton show, to display it. as far as the whole displacement hull theory, you cant let 2 foot depict how 16 foot of the rest is going to react. there wasnt any real performance gaine from the stepped hull, it was just something i was experimenting with.

Looks like she moves right along with the 25. Good job! I'm planing on switching out the traditional spry shield for a much stronger Bimini style on my sneak to keep Marsh's massive butt from constantly knocking it down. Really looking forward to spending more time in her this season. If this boat is a well put together as the sneak, you've done yourself proud!
