Looks just like Beaver at that age.

Holy smokes, entertaining is the right word if he is anything like Beaver. Whew, I've never had a dog like him - all in a good way (most of the time). After having well bred labs bred for performance, I was expecting a step down in energy, but nope. He is the most quirky loving beast I can imagine. Can't wait to get him on birds in the fall.
 
Yeah.. Quirky is a good word.

If his energy is like Otter's, ooofda!

Otter is a smile monster.. and very vocal!

I?ve been tempted many times- pretty sure we will be breeding Ava this fall and keeping one. I don?t think Ava will be too happy given up training and hunting time!
 
Thanks for those delightful pictures, Phil. Otter is a great looking retriever and he knows what is going on in his environment.

Great that you have some wonderful photos of your dog doing what it loves to do.

I go through the old pictures I have of my times with dogs and I am so glad to have them.

Otherwise, I'm certain I'd have forgotten the moments.

With the photos, you can cherish them and share them.
