Have an option on this boat. Any body have an opinion? Big water, shallow runner? Looks like it would be a stable boat. Looks to have possibilities to be modified for ducking.
Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

A buddy had one for a few years. He took the middle seat out to give himself more room. The result was it took all the support out of the middle of the boat and the sides would vibrate in and out - scary. We fished out of it a few years out on Lake Erie until I finally came to my senses and bought a Lund 1775. The last year on Erie we pounded the boat so hard getting around that we had to reset all the rivets in the bottom while on a pier in Lake of the Woods during our next fishing trip. The boat wasn't built with heavy enough aluminum for my tastes and there wasn't enough freeboard for big water. As far as a boat for small lakes, sure it'll do fine but don't try to stretch it's capabilities.

As far back as my memory goes I cant remember any aluminum wolverines when I was a kid. I remember them as being moulded plywood, varnished inside and out. How about a picture? Rich

Rich,

I can see why you said that, I just did a search for Wolverine boats and almost all are wood, molded plywood, etc. I know my buddy 'called' it a Wolverine, could have been something else I guess.

The drain is about 10 inches forward from the transom in the floor with a pipe plug in it. Anybody seen this? Should I put the drain through the transom? Also the hull paint looks like alligator skin like its all cracked, above the water line its the same paint but no cracks. Did they do this on purpose in those days? Once I figure how to post pictures I'll show you what I'm talking about.
