The Rio is now flowing and I found out this morning when I got to my spot that it had risen another 5 to 6 inches. I'll take it.

Ended up taking a pair of greenwing teal and a pair of gadwalls. Not many ducks using the "highway" yet, but in time they will. All I need to do is be patient.

This evening about an hour before sunset I drove down to BdA NWR. Found out they now have 31K light geese that have arrived.

I guess the most fun I had was finding a spot to shoot cranes when they were coming back from feeding. That WAS fun!

Holy Moly, Al! I've never seen cranes other than on a boat ride in the Okefenokee swamp. And I've never seen light geese in my life. To my knowledge they don't visit the state of Georgia.

Thanks for sharing the photos. From my perspective it looks like you live in an area of great natural beauty complete with exotic waterfowl.

al great pics. miss seeing them over on the ohio site. it allways made me wonder why the heck am i freezing my butt off when al is nice and warm enjoying his day out in the blind. LOL

Hi Andy,
Good to hear from you. Glad you liked the pictures. I do enjoy my day in the blind! By the way I do notice it getting colder as I get older. HMMMM---
