Ambush Kayak Blind help

Just bought a used Ocean Ambush Kayak. Got to use it today for the first time and really like it with just me and the dog. Now the question, anyone using this with a blind or just brushing the front up and using a dodger spray

thanks

I'd do it the easy way. Take bungee and go from the bow to wherever in the cockpit and do the same with the stern. Tie some raffia grass to the bungee so the boat is covered good. Undo the bungee and put it in the kayak. When you are ready to hunt, just reattach the bungess and you are set to go.

I did this with my newly purchased Ducker and it works great and is very simple.

I had actually thought about that but wanted to see what others were doing.
I was happy with the first outing and now I have a year to make this a better boat. Thanks for the help

Do you have a picture of your bungee rig? Never have really found a setup for my kayak that I like. Most of the time just use it for transportation, then hide it and myself in the marsh grass.
Would like to figure out a dodger type rig that I could use for jump shooting that would help hide me and more importantly any paddling movement. In the past I have just piled a bunch of bush in the front with varying degrees of success.

Pictures are before paint was applied to give the raffia grass for a more weathered and brown look. Pretty simple set-up. I use something similar on the Hoefgen as well. Made my own bungee cords as the store bought ones were not the right length and compromises would have had to have been made. I alos have a cross piece or two I can throw acroos the width of the boat if I don't want to be as exposed.

if you go on google and type in spray dodger or spray shield in the images hobie makes a dodger type tent you sit under im not sure where to find it but i was thinking of doing a similar thing on my kayak. as far as attaching camo i use bungees ran through eyelets works great quick and easy. if you look under a forum i think it was lets see your duck boat i posted pics

Bungee cord set up looks really good. In the past I have just draped a piece of camo material over the kayak from bow to stern and laid down in the boat and covered up with some grass mats.

I do the same thing Mark W. suggested with the bungee cords. I have used that set up for about 5 years now on my predator K140. Works fine, easy, gets the job done.

Oh yeah, I've done it for 6 years on my other boat..........

It is a nice a simple way to camo a boat isn't it. Takes less than a minute to put the blind up, it is very lightweight and it is dirt cheap to make. Best part is when you get to the spot you want to hunt, you can throw in some local stuff to hide even better.

It has been redone. It was my summer project. It came to me with I don't know how many layers of paint and other stuff were on it and was dented everywhere. It was a fun project and had the help of many on this site.

Thanks for the help. Mark the setup looks great. Will have to try it and see how it looks. Looks like I have another fun project for the boat this summer to do. Have some hatches and such to replace for more storage also
