I ran across a used 10' Aquapod for $1200! Wow!! Just out of curiosity I had to look up the current cost. $2487 was what was listed for a 2018 Aquapod but it appears they are out of business. Not surprising at that price or am I just old? Anyone have anymore information?
 
Was it one of the plastic ones or a fiberglass/Kevlar? They have always been pricey but they are great boats and guys love them. At $1200 it probably didn?t last long

Not sure but it looked like the plastic one in the photo. I had two fiberglass models back in the early 2000's. Nice but didn't fit my location. I sold them and I believe the member here still has them.
 
Over the years but especially the past 5 years I have bought and sold a lot of kayaks and canoes (and 3 center console boats too). Only 2-3 years ago I would often find kayaks for $35-$150 and then resell them. Not any more! Prices shot up on Used kayaks and canoes (larger boats too) in the past 18 months or so...not sure what the exact reasons are (people quarantined and/or Working From Home due to COVID, etc.) , but bargains are now very hard to find where I am monitoring idaily n Eastern and Piedmont NC and Virginia.
 
David, those that know me here know how many duck boats, sneak boats, marsh boats, double end skiffs and kayaks I have had and sold over the last 20 years. My wife is ecstatic that I am finally down to a 16ft Lund V bottom and a Grumman canoe....lol. I used to like buying, trying and selling looking for that perfect vessel. Of course we all know that will never be achieved. You are right in the fact few bargains exist anymore. Recently an acquaintance paid over $2800 for a 1996 Mercury 40hp tiller outboard. A 25 year old outboard. The same make, model and year that I have. Supply and demand!

I think I lost count of the number of boats Ed has owned after it reached upwards of 1000.

im not sure where you are from Ed. but on FB marketplace there was a aqua pod posted in Barnegate Nj for 400 cash an carry looked to be in great shape .. they are out there and can find deals on them

Hi Mike, glad you're still using one. Didn't you say you sold one? I'm not looking. I just noticed one on the market page out west for sale. I just thought the asking price was exremely high so it peaked my curiosity. I can't tell if it's the plastic for sure just seeing how the paint was peeling it looked like the plastic one. I looked at the Attbar Aquapod site but it's not showing any activity or any products available. I assume they are out of business.

That won't last long. That's what I paid for mine. Actually I bought two for $400ea and then sold them for that price.
 
"Didn't you say you sold one? " Ed, I did sell one of the fiberglass boats. I replaced it with a plastic Sport model. I do things to that plastic boat that I did not want to do to the fiberglass.
 
I have two of the aquapods. They have been great for hunting out of. Not sure they are still in business. I asked my buddy to check as he lives down in Ridgefield, WA where they are made.

They were cool. I had two as well. Way past my prime now to lay and shoot out of boat like that anymore. Hope you have some ducks this year. My brother is in Oregon. Not looking good he says.

I am in NW Washington and about 20 minutes from the salt. It should be good as lot of the northerns that start arriving about the 3rd week of Oct. hit all the fields. We have a lot of corn planted in the Skagit Valley, so it should hold the birds pretty good for us. Between the 3 counties where I am located annual harvest is around 90k ducks, so we get ample opportunity to shoot them. I know southern Oregon is experiencing a bad drought right now, so many of the typical ducks spots are dry. Hopefully they get some rain.
 
I just called Aquapod on the phone. They are not currently in production but hope to be making boats again soon. No inventory at this time.
