Ken, Just returned from turkey hunting and found your very interesting post. (Did well with the turkeys, Marge got two, I got one) I found it amazing that you got that many decoys from Wes. I would be very interested when he gave them to you. When I started branting in the early 1970s, Wes loaned me his decoys, and I think he only had about a dozen. Ten or more years later he gave me a few. Included were two made by another maker. Just a guess, but it might be that at one time he had a rig made up of decoys other than he made? As for the decoys he made himself, I think I could tell them. Aside from the ones he gave me, I recall that all were much the same. Perhaps we can get together at some point and I could look at them.
