Hello,

I want to have more detail about

about bird flesher. is it only a wire bursh on a motor 1/10 1/15 ... ? , is it full speed like 1740rpm ? did it work well ? my father work with out that since 36 years , i want to make a gift, i see it in the van dake catalog

About tumbler. look easy to made it , but in the tank do you put palette in it and what speed turn this machine? rpm?

Thanks for the tips, if any body have a dvd or video instruction about it , please give me a email...

I am not sure on HP on the flesher or tumbler but I can give some advice. Donot buy the fleshers in the catolge. they suck!

The wheal on the flesher should be a coper wire wheal. you wont it to be soft brisal not stiff.

The tumbler is filled with saw dust .

My fleshe was built by my brother but I am not sure of the HP. Same as the tumbler.

my flesher I can stop it with to much pressure, I think it is like a fan motor off a box fan that you would put in your window.

the tumbler I use is just a bucket that I turn by hand for a bit, not real fast.
I use corncob grit and some small hard wood chips and borax.
 
hey stef, as far as the tumbler speed goes, i like the slowest i can get.mine runs about 15 rpm's but if i could cut it in half, i would.i use 60/40 ground corncob grit mixed with sani chips(clean hardwood chips not dust)the fleshers can be made although im not a good source for info reguarding the motor size.i bought mine from authentic taxidermy supply.they have all the different parts and pieces you would need.the neatest one i have seen homeade was made out of a clear rubbermaid tote from walmart.they are a plastic bin or snap lid box that is used to hold various things.buddy of mine bought one and turned it on its side.made a bracket on the back to support the motor and drilled a hole through to run the motor shaft through.

Blake, i m not sure about that you know my english XXX 60/40 ground corncob grit XXX , is it corn only, a broken corn ,, or like cornflore but i will try to find that . and about the speed 15rpm, it really the good info for i can made it ..

Mike, i know you made good decoy , but i never associate you painting with your name.. good job too, i like the canvas hunt ... i remember miself like that with 200 scoter over the decoy .. i cant shoot on that ...
