Boat cover fabric question for Dave Clark...

Other experts to. Dave gave very good information regarding fabric and tomorrow is when I have to decide on fabric for my lengthened Cackler. I have ruled out Sumbrella for the reasons Dave pointed out, I don't think pre-shrunk marine canvas is the way to go for me with my boat being stored outdoors in all seasons. I am pretty much down to three fabrics, Topgun, Topnotch from the same mill and SeaMark.

Is Topnotch just a copy of Sumbrella with same poor abrasion resistance problems, or is it something better for boat cover use? What about SeaMark as a boat cover fabric? I guess it is a lot more expensive than Topgun. UV resistance and abrasion resistance are the two most important considerations for me. What do you recommend? The thing I don't like about the Topgun is it's "hand", too stiff and plasticy feeling for me, I really like the feel of cotton canvas, but worry about the UV resistance of pre-shrunk cotton.

Thank you,
John

Thank's Eric.

How are your dogs doing? How old is Cassie now? Do you have a young up and comer yet? We might be breeding Alex to a California dog in the spring. I know you like Lee's line of Goldens. Actually we just bred Gus to a nice Master Hunter-obedience bitch in Illinois, the pups are due today. You can check out Kelakye Goldens, the bitches name is Jessie. I just got off the phone, the puppies are just being born, three girls and three boys so far with maybe one more to go, yahoo!

Give Cassie a pet from me,

John
