Bottom paint for aluminum boats?

From an earlier post you may know that I’m in the process of looking for a new boat. Considering a Lund Alaskan or a similar style custom built welded aluminum. However I’m realizing that it probably won’t happen before this season. Custom built takes time and the selection of 2012 Lunds is pretty slim, got to wait for the 2013's. The Dealer says I may be able to get one by early October, but that seems to be cutting it close to the hunting season.

So yesterday I took a look at my boat to try and address the leaks that it’s had. While on the creeper underneath the hull, I spotted at least 25 small spots in the aluminum that were pitted. They were circular in shape about 1/4" to ½" diameter. Several of the spots were actually weeping water since there’s still some water sitting in the hull from our last trip out last weekend. The water was just weeping through very slowly, not even enough for any of it to drip onto the floor. Although the boat is in saltwater for one weekend each season, I suspect it's due to all the road salt that I trailer through as the source of the pitting.

So as I thought about patching each of these spots, I wondered if there’s any sort of bottom paint for aluminum that I can just coat the whole bottom with? I just need to get through one more season. Any thoughts?

Aound here guys use Gluv-it or Coat-it on the bottom of there drift boats and sleds for protection against rocks. Your dift boat will slide over instead of grabbing it. I put Gluv-it on the bottom of my wood/glass boat just for a little protection and it is thick stuff. Coat it has Kevlar added to it and is rock hard but I believe some people prefer Glov-it because it will flex with the hull and not crack. Both are pretty tough stuff. I have not used or seen steel flex so cannot comment on it.
