Haven't been around much lately. Looks like everybody is doing well. I have a quick question on the Broadbill transom and the use of a Mercury outboard. I've got my eye on a Mercury 15hp for the Broadbill I'm starting but I'm kind of wondering about the shallow drive ratchet action. To place the motor in normal running position (if I remember right) the motor has to tilt over center. Does anyone use one of these motors and are there any issues with hitting the deck when tilting the motor? Just wondering if I need to look at a long shaft in order to raise the motor board height or to build a well into the rear deck.
