Cabelas Fowltech parkas

A few years back i purchased a Fowltech II wader length parka from Cabelas , does anyone have one of these coats? If so how can i make it repel water again without all the fancy sprays and what not. The add claims it is waterproof but lst year a few times out it just soaked up the water . Any ideas?

Try laundering it according to it's instructions as dirt will decrease the water repellency. Run it through the rinse cycle several times as detergent is a wetting agent. If this doesnt' work you will have to use some of the repelency stuff. I reinvigorated my goretex by washing, double rinsing and spraying my rain suits. Get the repelency stuff that is specific for Goretex if that is what you have.
