Camera ?

Want to buy my kid a good digital camera for a graduation gift. Want one that has the ability to change lenses. Would like to stay between $ 300.00 and $ 600.00 if possible. Any recommendations?

I have the Canon G11 which i love and it is a great camera, takes awesome pictures. You just cant change out the lenses. For my graduation i go the Canon T3i which is a DSLR which you can change the lenses and also takes awesome pictures, but will run you a little more.

I think you may be able to get a Nikon D3000 in the higher end of your price range.

If my daughter takes up photography as a serious hobby, I figured I could buy her accessories and additional lenses for birthday and Christmas presents. Al, you take some fantastic photos, what would you recommended for a young adult starting out?
