Can I put pods(beavertail) on V-bottom?

I'm looking at an 18ft v-bottom but it sits pretty low with 115 optimax. I run some shallow water and fish alot out of the back of the boat. Could the pods be at an angle with the bottom? Would they effect the the performance of the the v-bottom.

Thanks

Matt,

I saw a guy at the ramp last fall with a v-bottom similiar to mine sporting a big old longtail mud motor and pods. My boat is a 17' deep V. I don't know how big a motor he had but knowing what Dave Larsen has this guy's motor must have been around a 30hp. The pods were welded on at a angle following the V of the hull. The pods were almost totally submerged except for a couple of inches at the transom. The boat was sitting as low as mine. I remember thinking to myself what was the advantage. Maybe it helped plane out the boat. I didn't talk to the guy. You might call Beavertail and ask the question or ask over at Mudmotortalk.com
