Canoe repair

I have an old fiberglass canoe. I bought it last year and am happy with it. However I noticed recently that the non-reinforced keel has split a little. Probably from rubbing on rocks and general wear and tear. I noticed that water seems to be seeping in. Can anyone suggest a good cheap way to repair it. I have been told to use a product called tiger hair. Anyone got a better suggestion that will help reinforce and seal the leak.

Todd,
I also heard that the tiger hair works well. I work with a guy who has the same problem he was just telling me today. Let me know how you fix it and how it works out for you, so i can pass on the info. I hope he gets his fixed because I really enjoy hunting with him in his boat.
