decoy line.

Same here, tarred line, l also like braid if I can find it. Stuff I use is slightly smaller than what Steve uses though, not sure what size, think its 60.
Memphis Net & Twine has a great selection:

I have used tarred nylon for years, but on a lot of my puddle duck decoys that are rigged for shallow water I like Tanglefree decoy line. I can grab my decoys and make a very quick move with the Tanglefree line. The tarred nylon I used will tangle given the chance.

I think they make both.
I also use their braided green (non-tarred) and its good stuff too, lasts as long as the tarred.

this is the stuff i used. im almost 100% sure it is. i hunt mostly tidal marshes and if the tide is running it isnt a issue. slack tide or if i hunt a inpoundment it becomes a prob. i even threw a bunch of rigged decoys in the pool earlier this week and the excess floated. i got the same line on all my decoys i run on long lines but is not a prob because the clips and tention on tge main line keep the line down.
