Didn't get my 2 front teeth

Just about every one of those going into Chicago Midway from the eastern half fly right over my house and over the marshes I hunt. Some days I'll see one every minute or so during busy times. You can always spot the newer Southwest scheme when they're out there a ways. But, I also see all the other varieties and the older 737s too. The O'Hare planes fly right over the top of them. Neat print.

Are you in the marshes about 18 miles South-East of Midway? There are some big blinds out there on the ponds near an industrial area. Or are you in the ones on the South side of the lake over by the big coal power plant?

I've been making a list of cool looking places around the country to go hunt when I eventually retire.

I bet you can see a lot of bidry spots from the cockpit!
I do the same thing whenever I fly as well.

No, you're talking about Wolf Lake on the state line. That's Hammond, Indiana and whatever/Chicago. The blinds are on the Illinois side. There are tons of wetlands over there surrounded by industry.

When you're on approach about SSW of South Bend headed dead nuts west you'll fly over some wetland areas out in BFE-right over the top of them-I'd say you're between 5 and 10 thousand...that's what I'm guessing. That's the headwaters of the Kankakee watershed and there are lots of ditches...just to the north are two lakes...Upper and Lower Fish Lake. Just west of the wetland area is a decent sized lake marsh south of LaPorte, Indiana. That's Kingsbury Fish and Wildlife area which should be easy to make out because it used to be Kingsbury Ordinance Plant which was a bomb factory so there are lots of bunkers and buildings seperated into a linear pattern. The marsh to the east is a satellite property. LaPorte should stick out like a sore thumb because there are lakes all over town.

Paul,

In-laws bought a ride in a Robinson (R-44) for me and the kids today. The nice guy let me hover which I haven't done in 20 years. BTW, my kids asked me if I knew an astronaut and I told them I do (I guess you've been in space right?)

Take care and that print is beautiful.

Geez Paul, I hope your co pilot is handling the ship as you're looking for duck hunting spots especially on take off out of Midway--just kidding of course. :)

Do you come into BWI?

I flew SW from Islip to BWI last summer flew right over my snow goose field, goose field, duck blinds, and accross the bay. Saw a few dz. fishing spots too.

Nice painting.
