Duck boats

Just wanted to know if anybody on here has a Bankes open water duck boat or a Duck Water Waterfowl boat? Would like to know pros and/or cons. Thanks, John

Might want to try putting Bankes into the "Search Posts" tool at the top, I think you will find a lot of information about them.

I had a Bankes 19 and I currently have a Bankes 25 and a two man layout. Their products are top notch and they have excellent customer service.

I have a 19 and have nooooo problem shooting puddlers out of it. I use it for seaducks, divers and puddlers throughout the season. The storage and layout is second to none. I run a tiller so the floor plan is wide open. I customized my blind with a roof which made a HUGE difference on puddlers. The ride is comfortable within reasonable waves. Anything too big i idle and plow versus beat the *hit out of my gear.

If i knew how to post pics, i would. Anyone interested in seeing what i did for the roof, shoot me a text and i will forward pics.

Yeah Mike but your out in God's country lol.... I'll second the "you have no problem shooting the puddles out of your boat" You sent me a lot of pics last year of them

I don't have either (yet) but admire both. I run a Bailey Bridge Boat made of thick aluminum, the deciding factor on my boats is that I have to be able to beach them on gravel and sometimes on rocks so it's hard to justify fiberglass. If that were not a factor then my decision would be much harder. Good luck, I thick they both have good arguments to be made.

I've had a Freedom for two years and have been very happy with it. Great layout, well made and super customer support from the Bankes folks.

I recently sold my 17' TDB ,it was a great boat. I owned it for 19 years with no complaints.
But if i were going to buy another fiberglass boat it would be a Banks. The Banks hull design is better in rough conditions.

Mike,
Love to see what you have done with roof cover. I too have a Bankes boat. Freedom 17. It's a wonderful set up for sure.

Please Send pics to my cell 908 922 7775 or email JD@diggsmail.net

Thanks,
