Duck hunting cancelled in MA?

Curious how Gov Bakers new mandate effects people hunting. I had heard no outings before 5am but was curious if anyone local read the fine details?

It's not an outing
It's an expedition

"The advisory instructs residents to stay home between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Trips outside the home for travel to and from work, errands such as grocery shopping and exercise are allowed. "

so - are ducks groceries? or is hunting exercise

I would argue that we'd have no meat for my kids if we couldn't hunt, though I definitely fatten up during ducks season, so... both!!

Just wear a mask while going to your spot. Then you?re good. Masks stop everything you know. 😂😂😂

Advisory means suggestion NOT required. In order to require the Governor of Massachusetts must rely upon due process or lawful ability. Since the Department of Public Health has not provided a document by the commissioner to the same in accordance with MGL c17 s 2A, he is merely asking. Nothing more. Go hunt and have fun and no worries. Best luck.

There are many things I will abide by: Speed limits, traffic laws, not going to restaurants, parties, movies, large gatherings. Hell, my wedding reception was postponed a year (wife and I still got married in the church with our parents present).

Absolutely zero chance I would let a "law" keep me from seeing my family, friends, earning my livelihood, and fishing/hunting.

That's the line in the sand.
