Okay Saturday was early deer season for us in Delaware.. Doe/anterless season.. almost every weekend in October. Morning hunt nice buck walks up to me... can't do anything ... evening hunt on stand and see a number of does, all with fawns.. some were bigger but some real small like late born (july) fawns.. Could have shot several but watching the fawns nurse just made be say pass! all in all nice hunt! got to stalk one doe within 20yds.. So I guess I'm getting weak as I get older?

Nope. Since your are taking a doe I'd guess you want to eat her? If so I can tell you from experiance that wet does have very little if any fat and are not great table fare. Wait for that dry doe!

I really don't like shooting mature does myself, so you aren't alone. I'f I'm filling antlerless tags, I'll always try to fill with a big skipper or last year's doe that doesn't have fawns.

Well, I shot one hen Wood Duck yesterday berfore sunrise, and vowed to shoot only drakes after the sun came up. Well needless to say, a half a dozen more hens pitched right into the decoys, and I just let them sit. Didn't see another drake all day, although I did shoot a limit of geese.

Pete, that was a very good story. With age comes that option of being more selective. For years I shot at ducks whenever-----now I expect them to be flared, flaps set, and feet outstretched before I squeeze the trigger.
