I finished this one this week. Its hard to get a good picture standing outside in a t-shirt freezing. I made the mussel out of caribou antler. I actually went to the fish store and got some mussels and cleaned one up to glue in his mouth, but it was too realistic. : ) So I made a fake looking fake one.

Man, at first glance I coulda sworn he was puffin' on a sea-gar. Now that would be a relaxed pose. As usual, beautiful work, Mike.

Speaking of scoters, did your cork arrive? I hope you don't get attached to that stuff or your going to have raise your prices on par with a Crowell!

I have 4 scoter blocks roughed out and will try to simulate that head attitude. Very cool! Be sure to bring some of those along if your New England tour ever happens and it will get used for sure.
 
2011!!!!! Mike and Mac tour of death with stops in Sask, Manitoba, Ontario, Nfld, Labrador, the whole east coast of the US, an alligator hunt with Hitch, California turkey, and Oregon turkey - or something like that. Can we go hunt in that lady's vinyard that everyone talks about? And Plum Island?
