Finally feels like October.....except it's almost December.

This morning was almost at the freezing mark. Looking forward to getting the youngest out tomorrow to see if anything has moved into the area. Dog is ready, boat is ready, goose season opens tomorrow. Time to finally start bringing something home.

Not much different up here, Dave. We had some snow flurries and freeze last night, but I doubt the temp dropped below 28 or so. Only the third time all year I've had to scrape my windshield!

Glad to hear there are some birds still above me.......keeps my hopes alive........just like the DU magazine yearly migration forecasts!

Still a lot of Mallards and Blacks up here in the Adirondack area. No more Wood Ducks that I could find today in there usual haunts. Two Teal still hanging around Lk Champlain today. Frogs are still coming out in the afternoon sun in some spots. Thousands of light and dark geese.
I think I shot some northern Mallards today from Canada, they decoyed in too easy, not like the locals I've been pickin' on. I haven't been cold or wet yet. Its weird.
