First hunt

I took my 30 year old nephew who has never duck hunted, but is an ardent deer hunter. I convinced him to go on a guided hunt to the eastern shore of Virginia(chincoteague island). He is now hooked! Although we only managed one black duck, we had a ball with the buffleheads. We laughed out loud as we where missing the speed demons flying by us. I now have a new duck hunting partner who by the way is so committed he started to build a sneak ox fom plans he got on the Internet. So next waterfowl season another convert here in Virginia will be chasing ducks instead of sitting alone up a tree waiting for a deer!

Excellent!!! Love chincoteague! Been there many summers and falls but never for the hunt. Very cool, thanks for sharing.

It is good to be able to chuckle or laugh when you miss ducks. Wait until that big mallard or black comes by next year and all you see would be orange feet and backpedaling wings----when you fire three shells and watch it fly away, I hope you can still smile! Congrats on your hunts and I'm glad that you found another duck hunter to join you.
