Anyone ever replace ignition cylinder on a gmc suburban-The other day the lock cylinder on my 94 suburban wouldn’t turn to off without the use of a pair of channel locks-I know right tool for the job. I couldn’t leave it running all day at work. I turned it off with channel locks. I managed to get it started. The cylinder would turn on but not off. After I got home I ended up breaking off then plastic tabs and key from and in the cylinder with my delicate method- had to shut it off by removing the ignition fuse and unhooking the battery.
I need to fix it this weekend- From the looks of things this job may require special tools anyone out there ever have this happen of repair one of these.
