Do a search for Barnes Area Historical Association to find their web site and more information.

I know a few members of this forum made it up two Julys ago, here's another chance. Thanks, Dave Evenson

That was a great time, just last summer.... don't try to make us OLDER duck hunters than we already are, Dave ;-)

Hi Rob. Yes you are right about last July- I was thinking about the fall 2016 pilgrimage which more resembled what this tour will be- it includes museum, but also the actual places the Old Duck Hunters went hunting and fishing. It should be fun- try to make it. Dave

Hi Andrew. I'd be pretty sure these Old Duck Hunters pilgrimages are going to become an annual thing. Dave Thorson, now deceased started the first in 2016, last year I led a tour of the western side of MacQuarrie country, and the BAHA Museum people are doing this one. There is a lot of enthusiasm and some good people at BAHA, so you'll probably get another chance. Thanks, Dave

Morning Dave, Some years ago I talked with a gent named Dale Arenz, he had a lot of info. about Mac. . He sent me a list of his articles. If you can use them let me know. Fritz.

Hi Fritz. Yes, Dale Arenz is the primary Keeper of The Flame for the ODHA. You can read more about his story in the foreword to "The Last Stories of The Old Duck Hunters" in the trilogy. He provided most of the stories for that book, and most of the list of publications for Keith Crowley's biography of MacQuarrie.

I've met Dale through the Wisconsin Waterfowler's Conference, but that was before I had discovered MacQuarrie, so we've never talked on that subject.

Dale is on the agenda for the MacQuarrie Pilgrimage, Sat. Aug 25 evening. Thanks, Dave
