Great week in WA

A week ago I was up in Washington state enjoying a week with a wonderful group of friends. My dad, Mark Vanderhoof, Steve Sutton, Fred Slyfield and I had an action filled week of sea ducks on the Sound and divers on a central Washington river. This was the second annual hunt for all of us together and I must say the most fun you can have with clothes on. Hosts this year were Steve and Fred and these guys really went to some great lengths to show us a great time. For anyone with the fortune of hunting with them, you know what I mean (my wife is still tryingto rework my vocabulary away from a week with Steve). Aside from the unreal duck boats, huge collections of custom deeks, more duck toys than any adult should have, great rigging -- it was a blast getting to watch to of the coolest dogs: Mike and Butch. Here is a teaser pic of more to come (after I get off lazy mode and start posting again). This is Steve's pup Mike with a nice barrows.

Thanks guys for a great hunt this year - next year its in CA.

It's a great experiece and the food is tough to beat, especially the seasfood! You can't hep but have a good time with those guys.

been waiting for you to post some pics for the washington hunt looks like a great time.

got any water down there yet?

Rochelle is impatiently waiting the arrival of our baby and it should be any day now.

been trying to get in as many hunts as possible
 
I will try and post more up in the next few days, I had a bunch come out fuzzy - because the camera was foged and i did not check it (doh) but I dd get around 100 that look decent. I can post a lot of them becasue the terrain/backdrops will give some of the guys spots away and I know they work hard to find ducks and dont want some dork from CA posting pics of their favorite places.

I was going to call you and see how Rochelle was doing. Do you think she will make it to New Years?

No water down here yet. We had a spell for a week but only enough to get a couple feet in the river. Hopefully we will get somethng in the next few weeks. I am sure by mid Jan we will be where i want it. Starting to see and shoot more birds down here.

we are geting some weather here.

Some friends shot 49 ducks last saturday on LK for the all day hunt, i stayed home with Rochelle because she wasnt feeling very good but i hope to get out this weekend.
 
Derek, thanks for the pictures the days with you guys was a blast!

I finally got my computer problems taken care of so I'm good to post!!

I am holding off on sending the pic disc up until after the season. I plan on adding a few pics from the CA season for a "teaser" to motivate you guys on a Trip here next year. Keep in touch.
