Thanks for the heads up. I haven't been hunting in 2 weeks. Hate to say it but this season looks like a bust for me. I knew work was going to screw it up but it did even more than I thought.
How have you been doing duckwise? Getting to hunt much? Seeing anything? Is Brian getting out there too?

We had a great day yesterday, two blacks in our little honey hole in the a.m., then we took Brians new scull out and got a canvasback a piece. Hope you and yours a Merry Christmas.

I'm glad you two had a good day. I went out today for the first time in 2 weeks and about ran a tank of gas out. Very few ducks. What did seem strange was I saw more coots today than I can ever remember. Mile after mile they were elbow to elbow. Andrew was with me and since there were so few ducks we left about 30 minutes early and drove to Wannville. There wasn't a soul at the launch. We watched for 20 minutes after legal and saw maybe 12 ducks come in. Two weeks ago I saw several hundred. Actually it helps take the sting out of not getting to go very much.

stay after em eric. got another invite yesterday to a private place that borders north sauty, two blinds had 52 by 10am.mostly wigeon and gadwall but several mallards and one black in the group.only my third trip in alabama so far.

We could hear them when we sculled into about three thousand Gadwalls but could not pick them out. Hope you get out more after the first of the year.
Who's place was it? There are some good clubs in that area. Proof that refuges hold ducks in the area that otherwise wouldn't be here.

its my family doctors place. they have been holding birds for a few days only and havent killed mcuh all year til now.they had 7 limits out of the blind we hunted friday.when we talk again i will fill you in.great place only 20 minutes from my front door.once again revives my interest in finding that little spot of land to hunt close to home.if in the right location and not hunted often, you can kill some ducks.
