Hellbender Boats Update

What's up everyone, I've been lurking in recent years while kids are growing up and work/family stuff has bogged down the duck hunting & duck boat lifestyle.

A little over a year ago I partnered with a friend who's taken over building Hellbender duck boats full time so we can get em out to people without the long wait that developed while I was building them. Nick Ireson is now doing the builds and has built a new shop recently to work in. He's a fiberglass guru and will be able to get boats out the door for seasonal demand. We're gonna put up some pics and vids soon, but I wanted to plug the boats ahead of the season so anybody who wants to get on the short-list can get something in time for October/November. A couple boats are ready to go now.

I also talked to Eric and I'll be doing a couple auctions in the classifieds next week and we'll send the proceeds to duckboats.net.

Hope you guys are having a great Summer. Sharing a pic from a Hellbender 10' in the New Jersey marsh. [cool]

Hope you are enjoying the time with your children, that is something that you can't reclaim,
I have looked at theese boats and have been interested in them, glad you have someone helping in the production.

Well, I too would say you must put family first, as It sounds like you are Derek. Yes, there is a cost, but believe me when I say you will be glad you did!! I really like [almost love] my 10' Hellbender boat a lot. I have had it now about 15 years or so. It has held up to heavy use very, very well. It is my go-to boat, a very handy boat to have. The picture is last season up in Sask Canada on a fairly large pond we hunted. We generally take one or two of your boats up there as they fit nicely in my enclosed decoy trailer and give us great versatility in hunting both water and fields. I have Louisiana pirogues, poke boats, lil duckers and a couple other smaller duck boats to choose from depending on where I hunt, but it is hard to beat that great little boat of yours.Hellbender boat sask.jpg
