and it's casehardened just the way you like 'em. Made here in the U.S. for guys that want to shoot modern loads in an "Ol Timey" style of hammer gun.
SWEET!

I have a feeling these "Tate's" are not cheap though.

Lee,

It's the "Tate Hammerless" model that comes in 12, 16, 20, 28 & .410. It's available from Anglo American Sporting Agency in Ione, California.

I've seen two ad's for it in Shooting Sportsman, one ad read like it was made here, but the other ad said "Now built using the F.LLi Poli action" which is an old Italian maker. Ad went on to say "A modern made heirloom made with the time-tested patents from the vintage ere using Purdey double bite, anson Purdey forend, Stanton rebounding locks and Pape choke bores.

I could not locate it's price on their website. I think it may be one of those guns where.....if ya gotta ask the price, ya can't afford it type deals.

I started duck hunting with a double barrel exposed hammers. Not that fancy. Supose they would trade me even for SBE. Hee hee

"Hammerless"???? Must be Chiwaneese with descriptions like that. I bet it cost as much as my house.

I guess not, here is what I found on a google search.

if they are ONLY $700 more in 10 and 28 bore, I'll take one of each! Actually these guns are cheap compared to what is on the market today.

I found this older used Breda on William Larkin Moore's website. It's 3 grades higher than the Breda SxS I got in November. This one has the Purdey rose type engraving that I like and ofcourse is full side lock.

I like the coin finished guns as well as the case hardened finish. This older Breda is $9,000. So, I guess I better wait until my birthday before I show it to Judy :^)
