I know Elsa is just a storm and she is still a few days out but still. Hope she doesn't do any damage to you.

I know that some of the worst storms around my place damage wise were done by piddly tropical storms that dropped lots of rain. So....hopefully Elsa is a nonevent for you and just a rainstorm that blows through quickly.

Thanks Dani!

We've gotten over 10" of rain in the last two weeks, I sure hope we dont get too much more from Elsa.
Our pool enclosure was just completed last week, they were supposed to spray in the liner this week and fill Friday, not sure that is gonna happen.

Send that water north, guys! 98 degrees and severe drought here in the north country. Although we finally got a cold front and the temp has not hit 60 since late Friday. We got a decent soaking rain, but are still probably 5 or 6 inches below normal.

Just looking at the latest forecast, and while the storm is not terribly intense, it sure looks like the west coast of Florida is going to take a beating. Keep your head down, Carl!

Good luck with it....at least if your pool fills up with rain you will have water to flush the toilet with [sly]

Bleh, non-event for us in south Tampa, we had worse thunderstorms the last two weeks.
Power blinked once about 4am.
Lots of rain inland and about 2-3 of storm surge.

That's a good thing!

We are getting rain bands up here but we aren't expected to get much in the way of wind.

I think the "worst" part of this storm for florida will be that areas of north florida are already water logged. So, the extra rain plus any wind will help trees to just fall out of the dirt. That's what happened in Jacksonville in 2004 when we had multiple storms go through that summer. HUGE live oaks just fell out of the ground because the ground was so waterlogged.

Glad to hear it was a non-event for you.

Good to hear you all are safe. More freshwater that will need to be dumped to the coast making coastal algae blooms worse?

Hard to say when it comes to the red tide bloom in Tampa bay. Big pulse of freshwater may flush it out.
