I'm just about done ordering stuff for Jane and the kids, still have to pick up a few stocking stuffers in town, but I was wondering what you guys are hoping for this year? Its coming fast so you'd better get on it.

I wanted to spend the holiday at the cabin, even more so because I found a wolf kill about 5 miles down the lake late Sun afternoon. I was looking for wolves all day Sat and found nothing but tracks, and then about dark on Sun I discovered various parts of a moose on the lake. Coyotes had come from all over and even across the lake to check it out, so the wolves must have moved on, but still it would have been nice to setup and try a call or two. It was too dark and I had to leave. Drat!

I'm done work on Fri which gives me about two days to carve before we head to Emonton for a wedding, Calgary to see my stinky little sister, and then Jasper for Christmas and to ski for a bit before we come back and head to the cabin for a few days before I have to go to Vancouver on New Year's Day and be back to work on the 4th. Nothing like a quiet few days at home eh? I'm going to be wrecked. But it will be fun. Travelling is always fun with Jane.

Anyways, I'm hoping for a new brain for Jenny because hers seems to be busted (just joking, she's great), a day out shooting in Vancouver maybe, and new socks and gitch. When my old underwear is too shredded to wear I ususally cut the elastics out to wear as retro looking sweatbands at the gym. It must be a cool look, because lots of people stare. That or they are looking at my 22 inch pythons and wondering if I'm on the juice like the Hulkster - I'm not though.

Beats the hell out of me...I know one thing I am getting though....a big wide eyed smile from my grandson.Got him a youth break barrel pellet gun and shooting trap that has 4 ducks on it..you knock them down and then hit a center target and they pop up again...I know cause I played with it for about an hour the other day...quality assurance don't ya know...plus had to get the scope zeroed before we shot our eyes out with ricochette's. Watching the kids faces on Christmas has always been the biggest thing for me. Well at least for the last 30 years....

I'm hoping for some snow, it *censored* rained last night...Ugh(groan of disappointment).....

Sounds like you have a Merry but hectic Christmas planned.

like most here i suspect they have no clue cuz when we need or want something we go get it ---- so like kids we'll get surprised by what others think we needed or would like when we get up christmas morning

doesn't matter as long as the family is together at some point in the day - married children and extended familys need some scheduling! lol

I'm not getting much on Christmas Day but in early February we'll have a newborn little girl to fuss over!

Me & the misses will probably just have a date-night at one of our favorite restaurants. The boy is getting a robot (old fashioned windup kind), candy and some stocking stuffers. My siblings & grandma will spoil him rotten, I'm sure, so he will have lots to open.

Girlfriend's getting me a new GPS. Her sisters are getting me a Filson Wetlands hunting hat and duck butts. Pops is getting me a new pair of neoprenes form Cabelas. And hopefully I'll soon be gettin myself a new camera.
