What do you mean by "close"? I have two in my garage and one on my motor. Go to midwestpropeller.com and get one of the closeout comp props...best running prop I own.

the number of splines for the 65 hp prop are a different number then the splines for a 25

Do you use the three or four blade comp prop? I have been looking at props for my 25 merc and wondered about these. For the price you could afford to get three or four as backups, maybe even different pitch.

I bought the three blade prop from them on their closeout for a spare prop..ended up leaving it on...last I was on their site I saw they still listed them on closeout. I've had mine for about 3 years and really like it. It is super smooth running..and for 30 bucks or so...a real bargain. I have hit submerged stuff with it that would have put big dings in my alum. props and the thing looks brand new.
