Jack's Urn

We all love boats and duck hunting but I'm sure that there isn't anything that the members here love more than their dogs. I lost Jack 7/25/15. Lenny Maiorano is a very good friend of mine. He immediately jumped up to the task of making an urn for Jack. A Blue Wing Teal was the first duck that Jack retrieved so it seemed fitting that it should be his resting place.

Jack hunted with us everyday this past season. The decoy looks incredible on the water....

It was really cold and windy this day, so it seemed appropriate that Jack should share the heated blind with us today.

I love that the "final resting place" is "in repose". Excellent job and a fitting final spot for an old friend.

Your Jack looks like my old Jack did. Could have been "brothers from a different mother". He is waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for me too. Beauty of an Urn, wish I had the talent to carve one or actually could use three. Cardboard boxes on the shelf with pictures taped to them are not nearly as classy

I know Phil. I guess that I've become so ingrained with FB that I'm always looking for a like button when I see something cool.
