Kyle's first duck

Well, it was a long time coming and a lot of patience and missed shots, but Kyle finally got on the board this morning with a nice pair of Drake woodies. He has been busy with school and hockey this fall so this was our first chance to get out and we got an invite we couldn't turn down. We got out this evening as well and got a chance to float some birds that have waited too long but didn't have much action. Enjoyed the evening just the same.

Looks like not only Kyle recorded some of those sweet memories but you did, also. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Only a matter of time now.

Missed the group shot from this morning.

Keep a eye on that short guy in the back row, he's TROUBLE!...well truth be known, Jeff isn't quite as short as the picture presents him, because Cole's dad is about 7' 14" tall!

Congrats Kyle!

First first? I was under the impression that Kyle was a seasoned vet. Either way, nice work Kyle. The feeling of connecting on one after a few misses has yet to grow old on me.

Rich, I don't know how I feel about including Jeff in that post, he could really stir this board up;-)

Very nice! Congrats Kyle!

And, I can scarecly believe I have now seen a picture on the Internet that has Jeff in it!! Ha!

Best,
Brian

Its all about Building that Bond.

Rich,
that is just plain awesome. I have another year to wait before we can start shooting at them. It has been a long wait but worth it in every way.
Those decoys sure look nice on the water. Great shots.

Thanks for the comments fellas!! I would say at this point that days like this are worth much more to me than filling my own limit. Those of you that have to wait for another year or two for the kids to come of age need to know that the wait is well worth it when you see it in their face for the first time. Now we are working on Kyle taking his first bird over decoys he made himself. I get chills even thinking about it.

That is outstanding. Thanks for posting the pictures.

I'm glad to see that you and your son are hunting together, even though other "stuff" tries to get in the way. I hope he appreciates the significance of gunning over the hand carved blocks...nice decoys...good stuff all around.
