Lake Ontario

I drug the duck water to the US side of Lake Ontario between Christmas and New years. Most everyone got the birds they were hoping to get.

Love the pics. I've never been there or done that but if I do I want to be in a boat like that. Thats a tank!

Looks like a good time had by all. I have hunted lake Ontario several times and there are days when you need a tank! As some of you know things can get real nasty real quick.

Looks like fun Phil. Are the zipties on the oldsquaw to say which one belongs to which person?
Yeah... Only good way to know what bird was shot by who.... And eliminates a concern of party hunting if Mr green jeans stops by

Nicely done. That DW looks like it is well designed for the purpose and the big water.

There were only a few times I had to abort a hunt due to the conditions in my DW boat. It was an earlier model. It was supposed to be a 17 but turned out to be a 19 with the pods on the back. We were out in Puget sound once January before dark and had to launch the boat straight into the wind, the wavest were bouncing the boat all over the trailer. From there we had a 500 yard run to the lee of a bluff on a nearby island. It was too big to turn around in once we got going... had to just hold a course and pray.

In any other boat, we'd have been swimming. Great birds BTW.
