Looking to share some weekends this spring with fellow carvers in the N. Indiana, Southern Michigan, and NW Ohio...Neophyte still to the carving world with less than 40 birds to my name and style...Would like to see different styles and just carve...

Just bought a house in Fort Wayne, IN...Two car garage...Could possibly host a few for a carving weekend...I'm sure my carving and hunting buddy would pass through on a weekend or two...

Carve, trade knowledge, maybe some birds, a lot of (lies) I mean stories, and a swig now in then of our favorite beverages during the evening after the sessions....

I still have until January to hunt out the Kentucky season back home...Possibly start the first of February...

Hi! We live in Bluffton ,which is just 20 miles south of Fort Wayne. A Spring get together sounds like fun.Keep in touch. Bob Hayden

Kristan, Make sure you make it over to Weslake Ohio the third weekend of March for the Ohio Decoy Show and Sale.

Just west of Cleveland. Hope to meet you there.

We attempt to get together a couple times a year fo a gang carve. I'm about 60 mi north of you in Sturgis Mi. That's just north of Howe In. ..... world famous for Howe Military School. We usually do it when it's warm enough to grill some food and pee in the bushes.

There are several of us in Columbus Ohio who might join in on the carving fun. Just email me when you have a date.

Would you mind a guy from Wisconsin coming down? I am just starting out and would take all the advice, direction and tips you guys could hand out. Heck, I would even bring the brats and cheese.

MMMM..cheese curds.....slobber,slobber....Sounds like if we had a midwest get together..it would have to last a weekend.

I want to thank all those whom responded to the post...I just purchased a house in Fort Wayne...Though small I will host whom ever will show up....How does the end of February sound to everybody?

Got a kerosene heater? (Some idoit has ask, might as well be me)

Seriously, that date works for me. I saw pic for the last one down south, but really don't understand what/how we do? Bring our own rough outsm i assume, Equipment? Some hotel near by? Got a grill for the brats? (It's never too cold for a cheese head to grill out, ever seen us at Packer games?)

Guys, you really have to know this guy keeps some dubious company. I'm not sure why he was banished from the Malarky carvers, it's not like they have any morals (theys Suhthen), talent yes, but few if any morals!

Kristan, I'd love to come down, but it's right between the East Carolina Show and Westlake, be carving for the pool!

I have a kerosun heater. Terry, that would be a good time for you to get a few critiques on how to make a decoy ;) . End of Feb. would probably work for me if nothing stupid gets in the way.

Maybe you were out that week, but while at the Crane Creek Show, I was anointed a God among decoy carvers. A lesser God, but still one of great impotance....err importance. Yee of little colored ribbons......kneel and feel my benevolence.........

Yuck, yuck, yuck!!! LOL
