Several of us from LPWA (Lake Plains Waterfowl Association) , a couple of guests and a few kids went out today around Rose's Marsh in the Braddock Bay WMA this morning to check and clean some boxes. We had some evidence of successful woodduck hatches in some of the boxes. Several of the boxes had some winter visitors sleeping in them. Here are some pics from today. There are three different owls in the pics below. You will see pics of Bill Morrison, Tom Flaherty of Flaherty Game Calls and my son Alex along with some screech owls in the images. One of the boxes had a honey beehive in it along with the owl.
Alex got to pet a live screech owl today as seen in the picture. He got to see owl pellets and freshly killed mouse.
