Perry,

Couple of questions/comments:

  1. Do you have a DVD reader on your pc? If not, you'll need someone that can read a DVD get the photos from the disk for you. If you do have a DVD reader and you browse the dvd, do you see that they're photos on the dvd?
  2. You may only be able to read DVD+r. Usually says on the dvd tray on your pc.

Like Ryan said, without a compatible reader installed in your computer, you will not be able to access the pictures. There are still options though, you could take it to the local library, or to a friends house and read the disc there. OR if you feel like getting to know your computer better, installing your own DVD drive is easy and probably one of the biggest bangs for the buck upgrades a user can make. A top of the line DVD burner which reads and writes all formats can be had for $30-40. Also the install on an XP machine is so easy any one can do it. Did one yesterday actually. Open the tower, insert drive and two screws, plug in data and power cable, close her up. Of course it can be more difficult, but most times it is not. If you need some help let me know. Are you sure that your home DVD player (the one hooked up to the TV) will not play it??

Andy, Don't have a home dvd player, will have to see if a friend can read it for me. thanks Bill

Bill I don't understand all I know about the operation of my PC,but the Melonseed is a Duck boat, just prettier than most.If you go to Roger Crawfords site then to melonheads, you will find info with constructions pics on a lapstrake seed. Most are 16 ft.
