Wondering how a duck boat like a TDB or similar performs with a mud motor. I'm considering changing to a mud motor. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I run a 23 horse mud buddy mini on my cackler, 26 mph with hunting load. I will never consider an outboard over the mud motor. I don't know how one would run on a tdb, but then it's not designed to run on my boat. if you know someone who has one to try out before you make a purchase it would be good.

Thanks for the info. What does a cackler look like? Can I find it on the web?

yes you can find them here on this site...someone has one in the forum right now...mine is modified with no motor well...motor sets at the rear of the boat.
