Up until recently he hasn't really gotten into the outdoors too much. Evn though I have tried, and tried to get him into doing different outdoors related things. This past year we got out and I got to spend some time with him as well as pssing on the little bit I have learned over the years. Time spent with him means alot to me as we don't get to hang out much.

The first trips out consisted of fishing, and looking for mushrooms. He really enjoyed finding these, even though he wont eat them.

Then as the year went on, and season opened, I talked him into going out after these. He caught on quicker than most and I believe he has the eye for it!

Then we got out to do a little duck hunting, although it was a poor migration, we still had a great time.

I believe he is really getting into the outdoors, and I'm looking forward to spending more outdoors time with him this April when I'm going to take him out on his first Turkey Hunt.

What part of the country are you in or do you travel some to hunt? I'm trying to figure out by the pictures but the mixture of waterfowl and other stuff kind of leaves me guessing. You have Blacks, a Surf Scoter, Snows and Blue Geese, Pintails, Redheads, a Ruddy, Goldeneyes, Gaddies, etc... I was going to say Indiana, or Kentucky if for no other reason then the frogs and the shell cracker.

In Indiana, have done some state hopping to hunt and such. Shot that Surf Scoter back in 99 on the Ohio River.

Nice batch of Gold Chanterelles and Black Trumpets, but what are the red ones in the middle and what are the roots?

Nice to see that you're getting your brother into the outdoors. Looks like you're both having a good time.
