just thought it was worth a try. I know there are sites out there for this sort of thing, but i trust you guys :)

I got a 50$ BB card for christmas and kenna and I are in the middle of fixing up our first house, so i could use a lowes or HD one instead.

No..got a Wally World 50$ gift card tho...jsut another nail in the coffin for Mom and Pop business...oh yeah..my Mom is the one that gave it to me..told her to make a donation to charity if she has to get me something.
 
sucks i know. i went to bestbuy.. picked up xbox games 3 different times and kept putting them back. i can't see wasting this 50$ just because.. but i sure don't need anything from best buy. rather buy a new dust collector .. argh argh!

We got a card from Home Depot when we got married. As I checked out the girl said,"What are you doing? You can buy a $2 item and get cash back if you ask."
One for the Mom and Pops. Give it a try and see if it works at Best Buy.

Jeff, If you lived nearby I would help you out. I just bought batteries for my camcorder that only BB carries they are 27 a pop. I still have the receipt so you could get them on your BB and I could take them back and give you the money. Oh well, they say it is the thought that counts.

Ill second that one, Lee did you see the CEO of depot called it quits? Read on Ace News he only got a package worth 210 million to leave. Wouldnt that just be a bitch to have to try and live on that for 4 year durring the no compete period.

as far as cash back not on new ones they carry balances and they will deduct a percentage for every month of no use. We have them at the Hardware store and folks just love'em............ At least they dont get returned when the person doesnt like the GIFT! Could always buy something then return it for the CASH!

very common, if you don't use it by X date (usually 6 months) they started dropping it by X % per month until it is all gone....

Learned that lesson more than once the hard way. I use EVERY gift card/certificate immediately or in the first 3 weeks.

newest scam is to steal the numbers off the card IN the store and then try to use the card via the internet over and over until it is activated.....basically stealing your gift away from you.
