Well, we're finally taking my dad out west (well, west of here!) for a deer hunt. We promised him a retirement hunt 2 years ago, but due to health reasons, he hasn't been able to go until now. We didnt' draw elk tags for any of the states we put in for, so we're hunting muleys in McKelvie Nat Forest in Nebraska.
Never been there before, so not sure what to expect. I've talked to the wildlife biologist out there and got some good info on the terrain, habitat conditions, and the herd. Now I'm just looking for some of that gool ol' life experience info that's out there. If anyone has been there before, I'd appreciate any help you can give.
