NDR - Line-X bed liner

I've decided to have a Line-X spray in bed liner put in the new truck and want to know what others have paid. I'm being quoted $440 for the basic liner and an additional $75 to go over the rail. Is that close to what others have paid? Thanks.

Bill

I had my Line-X put in both my trucks. My current truck cost $600 for over the rail with an 8' Box. I need to get by brush gard/bumber built so I can get that line-X'ed as well. That stuff is amazing, I have seen guy here in Wisconsin spraying the side panels of their trucks when the paint chips get bad, I think I will be doing that in a few years...

Bill, That's about what I paid but then I got a set of nerf bars sprayed too and is that ever the neat setup. There will be a lot of new uses for that stuff - boat floors, gun stocks & ???? cool stuff.

Gunstocks??? Hell, you wouldn't need to shave for a month on that side of your face! I really like the stuff..in my bed, even with some oil..stuff won't slide. It makes it a bitch sometimes but it's a lot better than having stuff slam the front of the bed and bend it out of shape when you put the brakes on..or having a skid of cement slide out the back when you give it gas at the stoplight.Had mine done in 2002 and it looks like the day it was put in. I think it was about 400 back then for my shortbox and over the side and tailgate.

I had Line-X done when I got the new truck a year and a half ago here in Grants Pass, Oregon and it was $400 without the top rails done. So, your price sounds about right. I did not want or need the top rails done since I was going to put a camper shell on it anyway. If you plan to load a lot of stuff into the truck bed from the sides, then it mahes sense to have them done. My guy also did gun stocks with Line-X for $75.

I had mine done in West Salem WI last summer, for $485, over the rail on a 8' box. I want the rocker panels done, as well as around the wheel wells... that would have been another $400.

Has anyone got experience using it on an aluminum boat? Sounds like it'd solve my slippery bench seat & inside hull for the dog.

I think Scot Melchi did his alum boats. I have seen a few posts where guys used some type of bed liner. I know the LineX will eliminate slipping absolutely..unless you have ice on it.
